Option 1 - Namadgi National park adventure trek

Day 1
- set up tents
- Hike to abseiling spot for abseiling and climbing activities
- Return to camp for camp fire games and dinner

Day 2
- Pack up camp
- Drive to climbing or abseiling location on Orroral ridge
- Return to Canberra by 5pm
Cost: Minimum 10 overnight- $160 + camping fees when staying at Nowra($9) 15 or more $150 + camping fees


Where: Honeysuckle camp ground, Namadgi National park ACT
Approx 1 hour from central Canberra

What: a two day adventure, based at Honey suckle camp ground departing Canberra 7.30am including rock climbing and abseiling at a variety of locations

Accommodation: Camping in tents at Honey Suckle camp ground, Namadgi National park

Food: students are to provide all their own food including
- 2 cold lunches
- 1 cooked dinner (stoves provided)
- I cold breakfast
- Snacks

 

Option 2 - Two day pump fest at Thompsons Point, Nowra
Where: Thompsons Point, Nowra. Approx 3 hours from Canberra

What: A two day climbing adventure at one of Australia’s premier sport climbing cliffs. Two days of rock climbing and abseiling at various locations around Nowra sport climbing cliffs.

Accommodation: Camping in tents at Nowra Animal Park where there is a cooking shelter.

Food: students are to provide all their own food including
- 2 cold lunches
- 1 cooked dinner (stoves provided)
- I cold breakfast
- Snacks

Cost: Minimum 10 overnight- $160 + camping fees when staying at Nowra($9) 15 or more $150 + camping fees.
All programs can include build up lessons throughout the term where Canberra Adventure company staff come to the school and teach students skills like:
- Knots, software and hardware
- Safe belaying technique
- Equipment they will need to bring on the trip
- Food to bring and sample menus
- Introduction to climbing and abseiling on artificial surfaces
- Natural history of the area of the trip
All equipment will be supplied by Canberra Adventure company staff. Food and transport are by own arrangement (sample menus can be provided in build up lesson). Both male and female staff will come on trips to cover male and female student ratios.
